Somesh Saurav
Counsellor · MSc Clinical Psychology
Somesh Saurav is an MSc Clinical Psychology graduate with supervised clinical experience across psychiatric hospitals, early intervention centres, rehabilitation settings and community-based organisations. Along the way, he has worked with people navigating anxiety, stress, depression, behavioural difficulties, adjustment challenges, substance-use difficulties and other mental health concerns.
For Somesh, counselling begins with something quite simple: having a space where you can be yourself. Reaching out for counselling can feel difficult, especially when you are not sure what to say, where to begin, or whether what you are going through is “serious enough”. You don't need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy.
His approach is warm, collaborative and non-judgemental. Rather than simply offering advice or looking at a person through a diagnosis, he takes time to understand the person behind the experience: their thoughts, emotions, relationships, struggles and the things that matter to them.
Through his training in clinical psychology, psychological assessment, psychoeducation, behavioural interventions and therapeutic communication, Somesh works with clients to better understand what they are going through and find ways of moving forward that feel realistic and meaningful to them.
At HopeLooom, he hopes to create a space where you can slow down, talk openly, make sense of what you're carrying, and take things one step at a time.
There is no perfect way to begin therapy.
You can simply begin where you are.

What to expect
When you book, you'll be asked briefly what brings you here, along with your age and gender, so the first session can start well prepared. Everything you share is confidential.
A first consultation runs 45 minutes. From there you and Somesh agree on what would help, usually a rhythm of follow-up sessions, all online.
