The cotton and the weaver
From raw thread to fabric
Consider a piece of cotton. In its original form, it is simply a raw material with potential. Before it becomes a beautiful piece of fabric, it passes through several stages: being prepared, spun into threads, strengthened, and eventually woven together by a weaver.
The weaver does not change what the cotton is. Instead, through patience, care and skill, the individual threads are brought together to create something stronger and more meaningful.
Counselling can be much like this process.
